History
1991, a handful of brave souls gathered outside of Colorado College to demand equality in the face of discrimination. Two decades later, Pikes Peak Gay & Lesbian Community Center joins approximately 10,000 gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals and families, along with our friends and supporters, as we continue that fun and courageous tradition each 3rd Sunday in July.

Complete with our all-ages dance floor, beer garden,  live entertainment throughout the day, and more than 100 vendors and booths, Colorado Springs PrideFest is one of the Pikes Peak region’s most exciting summer events. Whether you’re 21 or 81, PrideFest is the place to get your groove on.

Fun for the entire family, PrideFest boasts a fun-filled parade, food and beverages, vendors and educational information, and even a safe space for kids to play, including Uncle Wilber’s Water Fountain, Bounce House and lots of bubble machines.

DETAILED INFORMATION FOR CONFIRMED PRIDEFEST VENDORS 2009

 VENDOR CONFIRMATION DETAILS:

·     Colorado Springs PrideFest 2009 is Sunday, July 19th from 10:00am-6:00pm in downtown Acacia Park.

·    Below you will find the Vendor Map (PENDING). Please use these to locate your space in the park. If you do not know your spot, please visit the Pride Center's booth when you arrive, and one of our team members will help you locate your location. We must have a form on file to place your spot.

·    Vendor SET-UP is between 7:00am and 10:00am. Vendor loading/unloading zones are located on NEVADA and BIJOU around the park between 7:00am and 9:00am. There are “No Parking” hoods on these meters, so you’ll need to move your vehicles after you finish unloading. If you arrive after 9:00am, you may experience some difficulties in unloading, so we encourage you to arrive early. If you need assistance finding your location or unloading, please visit the Pride Center’s Tent, or locate someone with a walkie-talkie.

·      Vendor TEAR-DOWN is from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

·      Please remember, we are NOT permitted to have vehicles in the park for set-up or tear-down.

·      The PrideFest Committee cannot provide tents, tables or chairs.

·      Vendors are solely responsible for their sales taxes and reporting.

·     As a reminder, your vendor registration includes a complimentary parade permit. Vendors who will be participating the in parade will be asked to head to Cache La Poudre and Tejon at approximately 11:00am. Please check in with Michael, Tim or Mark. You can register the day of! Please also be sure to have at least one person staffing your booth while you are in the parade. 
 


DETAILED INFORMATION FOR 2009 PARADE PARTICIPANTS

Thank you so much for joining us for 19th Annual PrideFest Parade in Colorado Springs!

The 19th Annual PrideFest Parade will begin at 12:00 (noon) on Sunday, July 19th.

·     Line-Up for the parade begins at 11:00am at Cache La Poudre and Tejon between Nevada and Platte. Please check-in not later than 11:15. There will be a
     
check in booth set up at the staging area.

·     The parade begins on the corner of Cache La Poudre and Tejon, and travels straight through to Acacia Park. At the end of the route, your contingent will be asked to turn right on Platte toward Cascade. You can park anywhere along Cascade to disassemble your float.

·     This year’s parade coordinator is Michael Tomlin.  He and his team members will also be able to help you find your exact location the morning of the parade.

·     If you have a large float, or need additional set-up time, you may arrive in the staging area as early as 9:00am

·     NOTE: THIS YEAR'S THEME IS 1969 STONEWALL REVIVAL! Let's see those great floats!


INFORMATION FOR 2009 PRIDE WEDDINGS

Congratulations on Your Weddings, Anniversaries and Unions!

The 6th Annual Pride Weddings will be held on the main stage at Acacia Park during Colorado Springs PrideFest 2009! Participation is Free! However, if you wish to receive a Union Certificate and Wedding Package, you need to register be emailing Weddings@YourPrideCenter.org not later than Friday, July 17th. Registration is $5.00 and can be paid the day of the event. Sorry - YES! you can still participate in the ceremonies the day of the ervent. However, in order to receive the certificate and wedding packer, you must register before Friday, July 17th.

·        There will be opportunities for photos following the Weddings, complete with a toast and wedding cake!

·        If you have any additional questions, please stop by the Weddings Booth or the Pride Center booth at Pride, and we'll get you all set!

·        Congratulations!!!


INFORMATION FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteer opportunities begin at 4:00am in Acacia Park on Sunday July 19th! If you're interested in volunteering, please email Ryan@YourPrideCenter.org. ·        Opportunities include: Set-Up, Beer Garden, Vendors, Parade, Security, Stage Assistance, Tear-Down, Pride Center, Bounce House and More!

Waiting until the day of to register? To volunteer, please stop by the Center's booth at Pride as early as 4:00am, and we'll get you all signed up! Most pressing needs include 7:00am-10:00am for set-up, and 1:00-6:00 for the Beer Garden. In addition, tear-down is a great way to volunteer! THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING! SEE YOU AT PRIDE !
