Welcome to the Pride Center's Women's Health Initiative

The Pride Center’s LGBT Women’s Health Program is available as a resource to women in the Colorado Springs area. Our programs and services include access to free breast and cervical cancer screening exams specifically designed for LGBT women. On our webpage you’ll find health information on a variety of women’s health topics, as well as a resources list of local providers who are LGBT-friendly.

For healthcare providers, we offer free cultural sensitivity training either online or onsite. If you are interested in being added to LGBT-friendly provider list please e-mail kelly@yourpidecenter.org with your contact information.

Want to be more involved in women’s healthcare issues? The LGBT women’s health program needs your ideas, opinions and input. Programs & Services > Free Health Exams

Did you know….Lesbian and Bisexual women have an increased risk of developing breast or cervical cancer? In addition LGBT women are less to get routine medical care including pelvic exams and mammography.

We’re here to help...The LGBT Women’s Health Specialist can act as you personal link to FREE Breast and Cervical exams offered through the Women’s Wellness Connection (WWC).

CWCCI will pay for breast and cervical exams for women age 40—64 who qualify.
Most women who do not have insurance or who are unable to afford the co-pays for these exams do qualify for this program.
These FREE Exams include : Mammograms, Pap smears, Pelvic exams

Women under 40 with previous abnormal findings or positive family history of breast cancer may also qualify.
The LGBT Health Specialist can enroll you in this program, make appointments with a sensitive provider, assist with transportation and navigate you through the process from start to finish.
Evening and Saturday appointments are available.
